The Burning Sands is a major musical production for the independent or very mature high school line. Designed for the group with a solid program and wants to push it to the limit. Music is in a driving 5/4 meter with major battery chop exposures and fully orchestrated emotional moments. The advanced battery concepts including flam hybrids, fast paradiddle and roll passages with rapidly changing expression and dynamic phrasing. Front ensemble includes the world percussion instruments djembe, bongos, Cajon, surdo and massive bass guitar, synthesizer and drumset sounds.
